I've taught and tutored both accounting and math on the college level. I'm a CPA by training , and my resume includes working in public accounting and Federal and state government. I've taught/tutored math since 1981, and have taught both accounting and math to studewnts of varying demographics. I've been told that I have an ability to "demystify" many math concepts to increase student knowledge. I've researched "math anxiety" and try to help students grasp various math content ares relevant to their needs. Developmental math is a one of my strong points. In the classroom I rely on traditional lecture, supplemented by Powerpoint presentations, animations, and lists and diagrams on the white board. I usually assign a research paper.
