I recognize that each meeting is unique, and I have a great amount of patience and empathy. I am calm and open, and I want to do what I can for my students to feel at ease in discussing their writing. Understanding my students' needs and providing a good atmosphere of dialogue are priorities. For three years, I have been a writing consultant for students at Rice University who took classes in rhetoric & composition. Some students have been ESL (English as a Second Language).
