Every child can learn, but they don't all learn the same way

I have been teaching for over 10 years. I am currently a second grade teacher. I tutor during the summers and have students of all ages, including middle school and high school. I believe all children can learn. It takes a special teacher to find out how a child learns and create lessons to engage that learning style. What works for one student doesn't always work for every student. I am a loving and positive teacher by nature. Making government interesting.

I currently serve as an adjunct professor at one of the Oklahoma City area universities. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and believe I am definately qualified for your needs. Some of my research interests include state and local government, public policy, race and gender, voting habits, and higher education policy.
I'm very direct and try to lead you to the answers rather than directly giving them to you. I find that students who are given answers don't fully comprehend the material which could hurt them down the road. Additionally, I try to relate the various aspects of government to students by showing them the impact of governmental decisions.

A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that all students learn differently and should be treated as so; with this being said i believe that each student should work at their own pace and should be helped to find strategies that help them learn.
I currently have a bachelors degree in sociology with a minor in elementary education. During the past 4 years and working in the early childhood education industry I realized that many teachers were not getting the proper training that they needed to receive to help the children that they are serving. Once I realized this I decided to work on my Master's degree in Early Childhood Education in hopes that i could be an Early Childhood College Professor and teach students the ins and outs of the early childhood industry.
