I am a certified tutor for the state of CT with over 10 years of tutoring experience from pre-K to college level in the subjects of math, science, engineering and reading. I have BS, MS and PhD degrees in engineering and have been tutoring in many states, CT, MA, MD, VA and DC area because I enjoy teaching, educating and mentoring students to be all they can be and excel in their coursework. I graduated from the UConn with a B.S. in physics and a minor in mathematics. Because I have used calculus and linear algebra on a daily basis as a means of solving problems I have developed a fundamental understanding of mathematics; an understanding that only someone who has used thse mathematical tools extensively can achieve. I have been tutoring for the past four years. I began tutoring at UConn my junior year and was quickly the most popular physics and calculus tutor on my shift. On several occasions I taught groups of ten or so as a class. It was then that I realized how much I liked teaching. Since I have graduated I have tutored at Sylvan Learning Center and Total Academic Center tutoring various subjects and age groups.
