Teaching is a passion, or even a way of life for me. I believe that students learn mathematics by actively participating in problems. It does little when an instructor simply demonstrates how to work through a problem. What I find to be very effective is to follow the two step method: work a problem and then have the student work in the same way. I have used this method with each of my students, and it has proven to be highly effective. Essentially, mathematics is a process of building connections between multiple concepts. When these connections are put together, the solution flows rather naturally. It is my great enjoyment to help students make these connections.
