Experience Summary
Let's take the journey together! A step in the right direction is the first step towards your success. I have a Bachelors degree in Accounting. I have 12 years experience in both public and private accounting. Five years ago I started my own bookkeeping business from my home. Teaching has always been a passion of mine. I have recently finished up my alternate teaching certification so that I can more directly partner with the students in the process of learning. I believe that a teacher is not just a guide, but a friend who helps you with the learning process and that’s why I am here. I will help you grasp core concepts in Math and Computers and Accounting. I have taught all age groups from first graders to undergraduates. I also offer a variety of consulting and accounting services to business professionals . My aim is to facilitate students and help them reach their fullest potential. Over the years I have enjoyed seeing my students and business professionals out perform their own expectations.
I will teach you that the secret of success is learning. I enjoy a very fun and interactive teaching style with my students. Depending on my student's learning style, I have no problems using visual aids (drawings, charts) and even movement for more kinesthetically oriented students. Lessons are planned and tailored specially for individual students according to their level and needs. I believe that for learning to take place there has to be a good relationship between the tutor and the student. I have been told I have a natural gift for evaluating and understanding the strengths and weaknesses in a students learning style. I will put my heart and soul into helping you to improve your academic abilities, but I cannot do it alone. I need your commitment to learn. I will be there to help you, but it will require real effort on your part in order to succeed.
