Purdue Jazz Band Trombonist

I have been playing trombone since I was in 6th grade. My experience has included styles of playing such as jazz, orchestral, wind symphonic, and marching band. I was the principal trombonist in the top orchestra and wind symphony at Carmel High School during my junior and senior year as well as the lead trombonist in the top jazz band. I played at the National Orchestra Cup in 2009 in New York City as well as the Midwest Clinic in Chicago in 2009. I took private lessons with Loy Hetrick of Carmel Indiana.
I am an interactive teacher that tries to assess what each individual needs the most in their stage of playing development while encouraging them. I need students to be receptive to constructive criticism but also be able to relax and not feel tense.
