I am a retired lawyer in Shreveport, La. I have a tremendous amount of experience in reading, reading comprehension, and writing. I am also very experienced in American History, World History, and Political Science. I can give you a solid foundation for the LSAT, Verbal SAT, GRE, and ACT. I began teaching in 2001 in Caddo Parish. I have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, First Grade and Second Grade. I have also tutored kindergarten-4th grade students in my home for 10 years. I'm currently at Arthur Circle in Shreveport, La. I have two daughters who are 11 and 13, who are in the Gateway Program at Caddo Middle Magnet. I have worked hard with them on all areas of study since they were very young. My preferred teaching style is to use questions to teach the student to think about the subject in more than one way. I have experience in a variety of fields, both in education and in the business world. I have experience teaching high school economics and speech in a traditional setting, and a variety of subjects in a homeschool setting. My best subjects are history, especially American history, and economics. In history, I advocate studying events from a variety of perspectives, and seek to impress the student with the importance of understanding the perspectives of those who lived in various time periods. In economics, I am a strong proponent of the Austrian School of economics, which eschew political agendas in favor of describing the likely outcomes of various policy proposals, but I am versed in other schools of economics, as well (Keynesianism, the Chicago School, Classical E
