Experience Summary
I have experience in a variety of fields, both in education and in the business world. I have experience teaching high school economics and speech in a traditional setting, and a variety of subjects in a homeschool setting. My best subjects are history, especially American history, and economics. In history, I advocate studying events from a variety of perspectives, and seek to impress the student with the importance of understanding the perspectives of those who lived in various time periods. In economics, I am a strong proponent of the Austrian School of economics, which eschew political agendas in favor of describing the likely outcomes of various policy proposals, but I am versed in other schools of economics, as well (Keynesianism, the Chicago School, Classical Economics, and Marxism). I have experiential knowledge in finance and investing, including both traditional forms of investing, like stocks, and more specialized forms of investing, such as the futures market and the Forex, or foreign currencies exchange.
Teaching Style
My preferred teaching style is to use questions to teach the student to think about the subject in more than one way.
