My name is Tea Karic and I go to Foothill High School in Pleasanton, California. I will graduate in 2014 and am currently taking a Child Growth and Development class. Next year I will take Developmental Psychology of Children and go to an Elementary school and be a teachers assistant. I have volunteered at Donlon Elementary for their fair last summer and this winter I went to Exploring New Horizons Outdoor School where I was a counselor to 9 wonderful 5th grade boys. I have usually insisted in helping people who have struggled in English and Math. I would do my best to explain the material until the student would have a solid understanding of the material. I have helped so many international students in English. As for math, I would insist on helping friends and anyone who is wishing to need help. For math, I would explain the mechanics and techniques of how to get the answer. I want to make sure the student understands fully so I would also be asking the student questions just to ensure he or she knows the material well.
