Currently a student pursuing a Master's in Accounting and my CPA. I am a double major in Business Administration and Accounting from Transylvania University. I have worked with elementary aged students since I was about 16 years old and I have now progressed into tutoring high school and college students.

I have a love of learning and teaching and it shows in my classes. I have tutored my 11 year old daughter in math for the last 3 years. This year we are doing pre-algebra. I believe in evaluating a student from what they know and then see if I can teach them any ways to shorten what they do or try to bring it up or down to their level of understanding. A Little Bit About Me...

I don't think I have really developed a "unique style" by only teaching a year or so. I am a very patient person and I really like to see the "sparkle" in a students eye, when they truly understand something for the 1st time. I like to explain a concept and then give the student a problem and see if they get it. If not, I will go over as many times necessary...until they understand the material.
I have a recent Bachelor's in Accounting, as well as 15+ years of accounting experience in both private and non-profit settings. While working at Thornhill Education Center, I had the opportunity to work with students and help teach GED classes. My main focus was math. I also had the opportunity to teach a level 1 accounting class for community education.
