My comments on tutoring English : English is the language I use on a daily basis to work in offices, teach in classrooms and to communicate. I like students to speak good English.

I feel that learning does not have to be painful and so I make it enjoyable by simplifying the materials. I use powerPoint, lectures, I do role play, group work and challenging methods where students have to use their intelligence to answer questions. I make students solve questions in class to show that they understood the materials.

My comments on tutoring English : English as a first language - with Grammar and other elements, as well as English as a Second Language, for those wishing to learn English who already speak another language.

I am an experienced graphic and web designer. But in college I thought I was going to be either an English or History Professor, or an Attorney. That's why I studied lots of his History, English, and took the pre-law major Philosophy. I have several year of post-graduate classes as well. I started teaching Graphic Design in 2002, and brought into that Web Design, along with the skills that accompany them - HTML and CSS. I have even designed signs, and love it!
I try to do some explication, and then have the student try some exercises or venture out on their own. In the cases of multiple sessions, I DO assign homefun (as opposed to homework), so that the student will have some experience when next we meet.
