I've been tutoring elementary school students for about 4 years. I've been able to help students raise their grades and become more successful in school. I have great study tips and I can help with test preparation. I'm excellent at math and can help students learn without a calculator. My comments on tutoring Math : Have taught all levels of math from basics through graduate level in 2 community colleges and at ITT-Tech Institute.

I possess over 30 years of academic/industry training the areas of mathematics, networking, programming and engineering. Having taught for 2 universities, 2 community colleges and several private institutions I bring to the class both an academic/private industry point of view. Students are taught not only the specific details of the course but are also shown where the subject matter is used in industry along jobs which might employ this knowledge. I prefer informal/one-on-one teaching with strong interactivity of the student and teacher during the instruction session.

I honestly did not start out to be a teacher. Teaching was a profession that my family was involved in but I never saw it as something I would be good at. I became a teacher at first out of economic necessity and then realized I was actually very good at it. I was hired the day before classes started and stayed at the school for 24 years.
