My comments on tutoring Computer Programming : My skills in Computer Programming is based on Micro controllers hardware/software utilizing C++, PBasic, & some HTML

I've worked in and on computers for over 30yrs and as a Systems Administrator I've worked extensively on Email, security, and full networking. I was also responsible for staff training of newly introduced policies and procedures. I was a consultant in a dual database implementation that required me to translate technical information between the database programmer and the publishing owner. This was an ongoing task throughout the web and with internal users.

My style of teaching is relatively comparisons and having the student recognize the use of information as it is used daily. Thus, middle school math is my choice and computer science to instruct. I use tape measures, yard sticks, beakers, pie charts money, and all visuals such as: dam’s bridges, and buildings for measurements.

I have had a broad range of working and academic experiences. I graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 2002 with a degree in Computer Information Systems. Upon graduation I moved back to the Philadelphia area and began working as a software engineer. I teach by the book and assigned homework. The main goal is for the student to do well in the course and the first step is to understand the material in the book and to complete all of the homework assignment. That tests are usually based on what was assigned in the homework. The student should do as much of the reading and homework as they can on their own then go over areas where they have problems or questions with the tutor. I can help them work out the problem areas and discuss the subjects with them.
I had 10 courses in accounting as an accounting major and took 5 courses in economics even though only 3 were required becuase I liked economics. I only had one course in statistics but I did well in it.
