Merely teaching the idea is not enough, and that "Oh, I see" moment must occur to embed the idea for long-term growth. 2 years ago when I quit teaching Spanish I thought I did not want to teach again, but when I was called upon to do a semester long subbing stint in a high school Emotionally Disturbed unit, all my original feelings for teaching came back.
