I am currently an intervention specialist for students in grades 5-8, specializing in reading content and reading strategies. This decision was due to the Police Department recruiting me to teach various computer classes to police officers. I have taught as a tutor in High School, and college. I also taught in the adult education system of Fairborn, Ohio. I have acted as a group home monitor for MR/DD adults. I am presently tutoring a young adult in cost control and algebra.
I tailor my teaching style to the student. I first evaluate where the student is by building rapport, discussing the problem he/she is having, talking to the teacher, and talking to the parents.
