As mentioned in my earlier description, I have eighteen years experience as an educator. I have taught students of all ages from early childhood through college and non-traditional adult education. I believe in making learning fun and engaging by relating concepts to points of interest for the individual student. Tutoring differs from teaching in that "style" is replaced by method. Some of the methods I have used in the past are rhythm and music, neumonic devices, and of course, drill and practice. I have been told that I am gifted with presenting material in novel ways.

I studied Political Science, Psychology, Literature, and Creative Writing at Boston University. I have extensive research experience and am a skilled editor and proofreader. I took the exams in the following categories with scores of 4s and 5s: Literature, Psychology, Composition, European History, and American History. I tutored elementary students in math and reading for a community service program during my time in Boston and still edit research papers for friends and acquaintances. I love teaching all grades and levels. The most important aspect of teaching is to know your student. Each individual learns in different ways, some are tactile learners, some are visual, and some are auditory learners. Incorporating all aspects into my teaching style assists the retention of the material. It also has to be relatable to the student, so we have to use relevant examples that they understand.
