A Little Bit About Me...

I began working with children who were diagnosed with autism my first year of college (I did this for 7 years). I felt a sense of accomplishment as I watched them grow as people. I realized through these experiences that I wanted to help people learn and become accomplished. Later, I decided to student teach in graduate school. I taught three different writing courses over three years, including this past year as a part-time instructor. A Little Bit About Me...

I give my students the benefit of the doubt. In the beginning and throughout the school year, I assume that my students are giving me their best. It may not be at grade level, and may be sloppy and hard to read but it's what they can do right now. Then, the hard work begins!
