My philosophy in teaching is that the best way to learn a language is by listening, speaking, reading, and writing in the target language. As a Cum Laude graduate from the University of Florida, I continue to hold a high level of discipline in every aspect of life. Whether it be at work, at home, or at school, I feel it is imperative to do your best no matter what the situation. Upon graduation at the age of twenty, I began teaching undergraduate courses for UF. This was an honor, but it was not challenging enough. It was not until I helped students with severe mental and physical disabilities that I felt fulfilled in my profession. During both of my high school and college years,  I have gained extensive experience in volunteering, tutoring and mentoring students in both Volusia and Hillsborough county. To name some of the programs and organizations I was and currently involved with are: American Legions Recreational, The Boys and Girls Club, Students Teaching and Reaching Students, WizardWords, TKR, AmeriCorps and United Way. After graduating with a degree in Elementary Education in 2001, I taught 2nd grade for one year. As a first year teacher, I completed the Teacher Induction Program, also known as the TIP Program. Additionally, I took and passed the following state exams: Professional Ed, Elementary Ed, and Middle Grades Mathematics. A desire to to attain specific math certification arose when I relocated to a different county and accepted a position teaching middle school math.
