I contact the student to know what subjects they need. I go to their home and meet them and their parents. I agree with them a schedule or they let me know when they need my help. I go to their house the agreed day and check what he/she knows about the subject to study. I assign to them different exercises like a pre-test. Every problem that they make wrong indicates to me that I need to explain that class. I don't go ahead until the student understands completely. I have tutored a few students, but I would love to tutor more and gain new experiences. My students all had a "C" or below in math and I helped raise them to a "B" or an "A". I have taken and passed Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Analysis of Functions, and Trigonometry. All of those were of the Honors level. Hands on, and more of an application study. I believe that the only way to actually understand something is being able to apply it to real world situations.
My experience is all in college. I had 9 Labs in college in all my science courses. I excelled very well in my science courses and i keep learning. Did great in my research project class. Played college baseball so i am great with athletes that do not want to study. I can break down big concepts into smaller concepts that is understandable for all students in the academia process. I studied a lot myself to achieve success in college and do well in classes.
