During my undergrad, I was part of the mentoring program called P.O.W.E.R. which tutored and mentored in-coming freshmen girls and boys. P.O.W.E.R. stands for Peers Offering Ways to Excellent Results. I had a group of 10 girls whom I met with weekly and tutored them in any subject they were having trouble with. I even went to some of their homes to tutor them, if they could not meet during school. I was on the Honor's List with a perfect 4.0 GPA three years in a row. Because of my extensive background in English Lit, I am able to critique and break down literature in all its forms.
Because I am a part-time college teacher, I apply my teaching style to both my classes to keep it constant.
