I have 20 years laboratory service with the USDA- APHIS- National Veterinary Services Lab, during this time I became a certified Histotechnician, received a HACCP certified and attended ISU to continue my education in Microbiology. I have designed and implemented training for visiting scientists at the USDA, organized and planned annual "Take Our Children to Work Day" events, taught a microbiology session to underserved youth at Alcorn State University, Alcorn Mississippi as part of the USDA's AgDiscovery program.

I am very adaptive to students learning style. I usually spend the first ten minutes of our first meeting figuring out what the student is struggling with and how to best meet their needs. I try to teach students more how to think analytical more so then just solving problems because it is more beneficial to the student. I feel that if I can teach the student how to read theorems, understand concepts, then problems just become easy at that point. I started tutoring part time in 2004 and have continued this throughout college. I worked as a math tutor for tulsa community college part time during the summer. I have earned over 190 hours of college credit, I have two degrees, and I am only 15 hours away from a chemical engineering degree.
