Math is a tool for success, not to frighten people.

With the experiences of Sylvan, Mathnasium, and High School lessons under my belt, I have combined the best aspects that each has to offer. Rather than holding a student's hand through a lesson and letting them develop a learned helplessness that can add to test anxiety, I use Socratic questioning to help people make important conclusions about topics so that they retain what they are seeing. Through a combination of practice and discussion, I strive to build confidence as well as skill so that students can go forward into their mathematical endeavors.

I am a college student who has a good background in Maths especially in Algebra. I always had excellent grades in class, classmates were always coming to me for help. I used to tutor some without taking money from them. I am sure if I tutor children as patient as I am they will do well.
