My teaching style is based on an inquiry-based learning method. I do not give students answers. I ask them the right questions to get them to figure out the answer themselves. I also encourage the student to ask the right questions themselves as well. I am very patient and encouraging. I am also very friendly and like to keep a fun, warm personality while teaching or tutoring. I also consider myself to be a lifetime learner. A Little Bit About Me...

When I was a freshman in college, I knew that my future was in my hands. I befriended and contacted my chemistry professor and zoology advisor. I worked in both of their labs, and I was only a freshman! By studying in their research groups, I gained the experience necessary to intern at Sea Life Park Hawaii. In fact, I was published in 2007 after working for Dr. Charlie Cox in the Chemistry Department. Recognizing the need for more hands-on research experience, I found another opportunity with another professor in cellular biology. I have earned a BA from the State University of New York at Potsdam, majoring in history and writing.
