My comments on tutoring Pre-Algebra : I am actually capable of teaching college algebra because I passed it easily with an A. However I am only comfortable tutoring pre-algebra to students. It doesn't require a special calculator normally and can all be done with pencil and paper as all math should be. In my pre-algebra classes on campus I often helped my Proff explain some of the concepts to the other students in a language that was easier for them to understand.

Creative teaching for a life time love of learning. I gather everything at my disposal to work with my students and teach to their particular style of learning. I have used basketball to teach social studies. Vegetables to teach science. Peanuts cereal and even M & M's to teach math. A lecture is not always the best method of teaching, but that is what they get in the classroom. A tutor has more flexibility.

I believe there is more than one way to accomplish a goal so I am not limited to only one certain teaching style. I will adapt to my client. A client may learn best while sitting and discussing subjects, another client may learn better if the subject can somehow become an activity and still other clients may absorb information a different way.
