With over 20 years experience as an educator I have taught, tutored, and trained students from pre-school to adults. I hold an MA in Education and Counseling, a BA in Socialpsychology and an AA in Early Childhood Education. and two teaching credentials - k-8 and adult. I am a credentialed teacher and for the past three years I have taught grades k-12. My academic strengths are English - reading, writing, and literature, Spanish, elementary/junior high math, science, and social studies.
I teach to the child and motivate them to do better through their natural desires to achieve and to seek approval. I believe in postive reinforcement that is linked to realistic and attainable goals. A Little Bit About Me...

I believe there is more than one way to accomplish a goal so I am not limited to only one certain teaching style. I will adapt to my client. A client may learn best while sitting and discussing subjects, another client may learn better if the subject can somehow become an activity and still other clients may absorb information a different way. I am prepared to adapt my approach to ensure my clients benefit from every session. I keep my clients informed about their progress, I do not get frustrated, and I am always patient with my clients so they feel comfortable enough to take initiative. They know if they make a mistake we can seize the opportunity to discover the area we should focus on.
