I fully love my architecture career, but I have never lost my love for math and science! Every day I use basic math, geometry, and even physics (to calculate structural components). I am forced to design creative solutions and think outside the box. I hold a 4 year BS and a 5 year Bachelor of Architecture, and I have tutored on and off over the years. I enjoy teaching adults as well as high school students. I do not have much training teaching below junior high; however, I am confident that I could successfully teach math or language. Although, I don't mind the traditional classroom setting, I am quite used to instructing on a one-to-one basis. Our GED programs are completely individualized for learners to move at their own pace, and I encourage this type of teaching style when manageable. Many of the students/adults that I have worked with have a learning disability of some sort, but I feel that I learn from each student just as much as they are learning from me. A Little Bit About Me...

While I draw much of my knowledge from my university education in physics and mathematics, the majority of my teaching experience is drawn from the world of corporate retail management. I have trained employees of all ages and backgrounds in both store operations and product facts. I possess good communication skills, both spoken and written, that have been sharpened through collaborative work in physics and individual work in sales.
Every person has a unique background and set of experiences that he or she brings to the learning experience. It is difficult, at best, for the student to correctly assess how his or her experiences affect the learning process. Thus, the burden is on me, the instructor, to determine how a student learns, and adjust my teaching methods to meet the student's needs.

A Little Bit About Me...

During my high school years, I was able to work with a young child through his first three years of elementary school. I tutored the child through basic math, science, reading, and various school projects. I obtained invaluable teaching experience on a personal and professional level. During college, I declared my major in Microbiology/Pre-med.
