I homeschooled my three daughters for 10 years, right through high school. All three have gone on to Colllege and have excelled, making the Dean's list. In the work world, two have been highly praised for their writing skills. After homeschooling, I began tutoring. I have over 5 years experience and have tutored elementary, middle school, high school, and college students, as well as adults preparing for exams such as the GED. My comments on tutoring Marketing : I have a BS in communications/PR and have corporate comm/PR experience.

I love working with people whether they are adults or children. I have a desire for helping anyone achieve their goal for life. I know how important it is to assist others because I support disabled and special needs individuals, so I have to teach them how to be self sufficient, according to their level of understanding. I also realize how important it is to have patience when mentoring them. I know everyone is on a different level, so it might take longer for some to learn, compared to others. Over the past few months I have been involved with substitute teaching in Richland School District 2. Since being involved I have gotten very much involved in every aspect of teaching. I have been requested at serveral of the district schools because of the way I respond to being in the classroom and working with children of age grades and ages. I graduated with an M.Ed. in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of South Carolina in May of 2010. Directly after graduating, I began a career as an Academic Advisor in the Moore School of Business Undergraduate Division at the University of South Carolina. I currently still hold this job. I also taught a University 101 course to 25 incoming freshmen in the Fall of 2010. This course included helping the students get acquainted with resources on campus, learn study/time management strategies, and much more.
