A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style revolves around the specific learning needs of students because each person not only learns differently but has specific strengths and weakness. As teachers it is our job to meet the needs of all learners. I do not believe in presently material in one way, or one way all the time.
I am a graduate of both the University of Colorado and Adams State College. I hold a Master's degree in Secondary Education as well as a Initial Teacher's license. I have experience as a volunteer tutor in social studies and math, a paid tutor in reading, a student teacher, and as a substitute for the last year and a half. I also have experience as a mentor to young people through the YMCA.

A Little Bit About Me...

I believe teaching should be child friendly and as interactive as possible. When learning is fun, even difficult concepts become easy. My goal is to motivate children to succeed and teach them that they can do anything if they put forth their best effort. I strive to create an environment where students can focus feel safe to take risks. With positive reinforcement I hope to encourage and motivate students as well as instill confidence in them.
While I was attending college I worked in child care with a variety of ages preparing lessons for enrichment. I also taught as an adjunct professor for adult ESL at Aims Community College.
