I teach by using analogy and also by showing where to find the answers. I try very hard not to simply give the answers to the tutee. My thought is that simply giving the answers does not build a lasting base of knowledge. Plus I can show the tutee that even though I may not have all the answers I can use my resources to find the answer. I am a certified tutor with experience in Political Science/American Government. My experience was gained by working with college students (student-athletes and those with documented disabilities). My teaching style involves mostly hands on work which helps the student understand what they are doing better. While I have experience in many subjects the one I have the most experience in and feel most comfortable teaching is Chemistry. I have taken and tutored high school students at my school on chem 1. I just finished my first year at CWI and am currently taking English 102 - took predominately English, editing, computer, marketing, and math classes.
