I've helped my little nephew in math. Next thing you know he makes a 100 on his test because we study hard and have fun. My little niece is in 1st grade I helped her in math and she's passing with 90's nothing below 90. We study straight for 2 hours a day, we have lots of fun. Solve ALL your problems with a math tutor!

I generally work through an example while explaining. Then as the student works the problems, I instruct by asking prompting questions with decreasing frequency until the student can complete problems without any assistance.
While completing my degree, I worked in the math department as a tutor. I often had several students with various subjects simultaneously. It was a challenge to constantly switch topics, but I apparently did it so well that I almost had a regular class that showed up every time I was on duty. Several students told me that I explained things on a level they could understand as opposed to the high-level language the professor used. I have also done private tutoring since then.

Math Tutor looking to offer help to those who need it

Recently, I have taken a college algebra class and a business calculus class, both of which I maintained an A in. I have a little tutoring experience from junior high. One of my instructors requested that I help some of the other students in my math class. I also have been tutoring my family in some of their college math classes. I was recently suggested by my college algebra professor for a tutoring position at the college, but had to turn it down because I was relocating. I hope that you will give me the opportunity to prove how good of a tutor I can be.

My comments on tutoring Math : I primarily taught 6th grade and 8th grade. I have tutored third grade all the way to high school math.

I have a style that is sometimes pencil and paper, technology driven, or playing games to get the academic point across.
