Teaching experience at all levels from Gen. Ed. Pre-K to ASL college students including self contained settings, tutoring, subbing, co-teaching, and classroom teacher experience of over 12 years. Interpreting experience as a Certified Sign Language Interpreter in multiple settings with varying styles and modes. Contract interpreting for agency as well as self-employed for over 10 years. College teaching experience includes instructing ASL classes for foreign language credit, Orientation courses, and Dual Credit coordinator for a 2 year institution. Private sign lessons have been successful for private toddler lesson, Youth Group, Library Children's Program, multi-aged Church classes, and small group. Fun and effective
I have always been a student tutor throughout grade school, and in college I was always helping fellow students to understand and master course material. I have worked as a teacher at a daycare, and I will be working as an ASL instructor/teaching assistant starting in August at a charter school. I have always loved helping children learn and I hope to be able to do this for you and your child!
