My comments on tutoring German : Native Speaker

I was an English Instructor in an elementary school in Germany. Up to 12 children (2nd Grade, ages 8-9 years). In addition, I taught English at a German Day Care facility where the children were between the ages of 2-5 years old. My responsibilities included teaching everyday vocabulary in a fun and exciting way. The company that I worked for was contracted by the US Army in Europe to provide American children with special courses to enhance their experience in Europe. I taught German to US military family members (ages 6-18). I was responsible for creating an efficient and enriching curriculum. With degrees from one of the nations top universities, I have many experiences working with students. I have worked with students through Jumpstart (an AmeriCorps program), as a youth camp specialist, and as a after school program coordinator at an elementary school in Naples. I am currently working on a graduate degree in School Counseling. I believe that helping youth succeed to be their best is very important and must be a priority.
It is important for all children to have an equal opportunity to learn. This means that I must teach in various styles or to multiple intelligences so that each student is able to understand materials taught.
