I start looking right away for “What is missing?” I have seen many students who are perfectly capable but struggle because they missed a fundamental building block. Learning is always difficult. After receiving my BA degree I taught elementary school while also obtaining an MA degree in English. I have always been a writer and have published poetry and stories. I later received an MA degree in Counseling and for many years trained and supervised MA level student counseling interns for a non-profit agency. I read and critiqued many student papers.
