The description of my teaching style changes with each new class I receive. I am a strong believer in the Multiple Intelligence approach to teaching, as individual students learn in many different ways. In my classroom, expectations are explained at the beginning of each lesson. Because attention spans only last between 12 and 15 minutes, I make sure to rotate activities to insure that my students are engaged. I am also a strong believer in "real world" lessons and activities that my students can relate to. This encourages my students' critical thinking abilities as well as a desire to learn. Throughout my life, I have always dedicated myself completely to whatever task I take on. I attended Whitney Young High School and began tutoring while in school as a part of my volunteer service with the National Honor Society. I continued to teach while in college, and in fact, worked as a tutor part time. After college, I moved to Japan for one year and worked as an English teacher. When I returned to the United States, while attending law school, I was employed as a tutor for the LLM students. I really love kids and I enjoy working with them.
