Experience Summary
Throughout my life, I have always dedicated myself completely to whatever task I take on. This quality has helped me earn a bachelor degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, as well as a 4.0 GPA in my first semester of graduate school at National Louis University in the Master of Arts in Teaching program. I have an extensive background in science from my undergraduate studies, in addition to a passion for Language Arts - both will allow me to earn middle school endorsements on my elementary education teaching certificate. I have recently begun substitute teaching in my spare time, and it has been a fantastic experience that I hope to supplement with tutoring.
Teaching Style
I have been a dance instructor for almost 7 years, and I have worked with children of all ages, temperaments and learning styles. I believe this flexibility and experience will make me a fantastic tutor, as I can adapt to the various needs of different students. I believe that students should learn through experience. I also strongly believe that every student should be given a chance for a wonderful education and not left behind simply because they are not understanding as quickly as their fellow students might be. I am a very patient, friendly and compassionate person, and my goal as a future educator is to instill a sense of trust and respect between my students and myself to ensure the best possible experience for both parties.
