I have many years of classroom experience ranging from Second Grade up to Fifth Grade. I am a certified teacher and recently have completed training specializing in reading and phonics. Laying a solid foundation in phonemic awareness is essential in allowing a student to be a successful reader and writer. It effects fluency and comprehension. Beyond Language Arts, I enjoy teaching math concepts with a hands-on approach. I try to reach every child through teaching to all learning styles and stimulating both sides of the brain.

The same is true for someone who has a little faster pace. I am flexible. I have experience with teaching adults how to read at my local literacy organization. Also, I have tutored children with Reading and Math. I was a substitute teacher for students from Pre Kindergarten through High School with different subjects and disciplines.
