My teaching style is based on the premise that students want to learn and succeed. At times they are blocked in that endeavor by the level of difficulty, the complexities of a lesson or personal obstacles. It's my job as a tutor to find out what that hindrance is and help the student overcome it. I vary my teaching style based on the needs of the student.
I'm a journalist by trade. My love of writing began at an early age. A bachelor's degree in Theater immersed me in the works of Wiliam Shakespeare and from there I became fascinated with history and living history at that. I then obtained a Master's degree in Journalism to expand my skill set in both the English and Spanish languages. When I lived in Brasilia-DF, Brazil I was the director, coordinator, teacher trainer and student advisor for Instituto Cultural America - a language Institute for Brazilian students/exchange program students to the United States - and I simply loved my work as I love making a difference in children's (and adult's) lives by educating, exploring, showing, providing, drawing out and bonding with my student's future, endeavors and education.
