American Sign Language tutor. Elementary Ed tutor.

My style is very visual with a lot of repetition and practice.
I have over 15 years experience in many areas of teaching from Adult Sign Language classes to Pre-kindergarten hearing. I have taught both hearing elementary students and deaf students of all ages. I have also taught overseas. I was a certified ASL interpreter until last year when my certification expired. I am currently teaching in an International program for students ages 13 to 22.

I never set out to work with children but after I was hired to be a teacher assistant for young children with autism I can’t imagine doing anything else. I am a very patient person and I strive to bring a light hearted, fun approach to working with students. I believe that learning should be educational but at the same time fun and engaging. Sine high school, I have worked with children in BOCES. However, I started college later in life, after children and marriage.
