Each of us has a different way of learning but the first step is to appeal to a student's natural inquisitiveness. If they can see real life applications for the skills they are learning they will become engaged and enthusiastic. I have and continue to use many of the skills I learnt in school and they have been instrumental in assisting me to find solutions to complex problems. These are stories to share with students so they can see the usefulness of the skills they are learning . I enjoy teaching and tutoring because I learn new things and new ways of doing things constantly. The joy to me is when a student "gets it".

A Little Bit About Me...

I have earned a Bachelor’s in Biology from West Texas A&M University and a Minor in Chemistry and Animal Science. I was home schooled through grade school, and I had to opportunity to help my younger brothers with their studies at home as well. Because my mom was a high school English teacher while I was home schooled, I am strongly educated in English and have had experience writing all types of papers. The best way to be come successful in school is to know how to prepare yourself for exams by learning new study tactics that are best for your learning style.
