I believe in Minimalism. I tutor Math from the point of view that the shortest path is the best path but everyone learns differently and finding the right method for my students is one of my main goals when tutoring. I teach students multiple ways to solve a particular problems and they get to decide which method works best for them, hopefully its the simplest method. I always start with the basics. We start with mastering what you already know, then we move on to more complex skills.
I graduated High School in 2011. During my junior year of High School I started home schooling so I could take college classes. I took three classes at Skyline College, all of which were completed with a B or better by the time I was a senior in High School. Along with my college classes I babysat a five year old and tutored him three days a week. During my senior year of High School I would regularly tutor a 16 year old and a 14 year old. Pre-Algebra is one of my top subjects! I also took Pre-Algebra at Diablo Valley College, and attained the basic Algebra skills that I needed as the frame work to learn how to solve more advanced Algebra problems in Algebra(I&II).

My teaching style is multi-dimensional, and personally tailored to each specific student. Each student is unique and special. Everyone has a different learning style, which means each person has different need in terms of how they learn. I learn about each student, and take the time to figure out how they take in information. Also how they best understand their course material, and whether their learning style is Visual, Auditory, or Kinesthetic. Perhaps a person's learning style is a combination of these three things.
