I prefer to figure out how the student learns the best personally, whether through just hearing it or being shown examples and anything and everything in-between. I believe you must create a relaxed and and supportive atmosphere for the learner. Projecting a sense of confidence in the student goes a long way towards helping him/her achieve his/her educational goal.
