I completed my BS degree in electrical engineering in 2007. While pursing that degree, I took coursework in Math (through Calc I-III, Differential Equations, and Linear Systems Analysis) Physics, and Chemistry. Following graduation I worked as a project engineer constructing and commissioning an oil refinery in southwest Asia. Among with my technical responsibilities, I participated in training future local operators via translator.

Teaching Math is not just about solving problems, using specific methods, equations & formulas that the student has to memorize, and then will forget after a couple days. It's about understanding the problems, it's about knowing where the problem is, and how to solve it using basic Math knowledge and some axioms, step by step, even reinventing the answer, if possible. Teaching Spanish is a lot different, its more methodical, I use some mnemonic "tricks" for the kids & adults to remember the important words & translations.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a strong believer of the practice. Many students do not understand the initial explanation of a problem but when guided to exercise they learn very fast...it is like a game that they have to learn by practice, like when they are playing soccer.
While attending college I worked teaching and tutoring Math, Physics and Chemistry, and of course as a Venezuelan native, my first language of Spanish. I have always tutored other students and also I have always tutored my own 8 children. I am only available to tutor from 3pm to 7pm.
