Teaching Math is not just about solving problems, using specific methods, equations & formulas that the student has to memorize, and then will forget after a couple days. It's about understanding the problems, it's about knowing where the problem is, and how to solve it using basic Math knowledge and some axioms, step by step, even reinventing the answer, if possible. I am a strong believer of the practice. Many students do not understand the initial explanation of a problem but when guided to exercise they learn very fast...it is like a game that they have to learn by practice, like when they are playing soccer.
