Italian is one of my top subjects! I learned Italian by immersing myself in the language; I lived in Italy for four years total. For my first year in Italy I lived with a host family, I ended up loving it so much that I decided to go to college in Italy and it is there where I got my bachelors degree in languages. I have excellent pronunciation and am fluent and would be a wonderful teacher since I know what it takes to learn Italian starting from zero!

Ever since 2005 I have been focused on learning new languages and traveling. It all began in 2005 when I left as a Rotary Exchange Student to live with a host family in Italy. I did not speak a word of Italian but by the time I came home a year later I was fluent. Then I decided to get my Bachelors degree in Italy in Language Mediation and Cultures, I majored in Spanish and Russian, and all of my classes and coursework was in Italian. For my fourth year of college in Italy I won a scholarship to study in Spain for a year and this is when I mastered Spanish. While in Europe for college I was a private English tutor for four years. With my background in learning languages and tutoring, I feel that I would be a great and fun tutor!

Italian Tutor

I am still a senior in High School, but I have studies Italian for three years and during my junior year I lived in Italy for nine months, attending Liceo Classico e Linguistico Ruggero Settimo. I took the AP italian exam, receiving a 5, and I am currently the assistant to my Italian teacher. I am really passionate about the Italian language and culture, and I really enjoy teaching it to others.

As a Cornell graduate, I have had the opportunity be lectured by academic experts spanning a wide variety of disciplines, and have experienced many different teaching styles. I have worked as a course assistant, grading homeworks and tutoring students, in Calculus I for four semesters. Prior to transferring to Cornell to study Economics, I was a Physics major at Ithaca College, was a dean's list student and also was a member of the Oracle Honor Society. This past summer I worked at a sports camp (Camp Woodward) counseling and instructing children ages 12-16. I have recently taken an interest in English literary theory.
