Science is so cool to me, especially seeing all the strange ways the world does things when you know how it works. I have worked on numerous teaching in science colloquium, made laser light shows for kids to talk about lasers, and developed specialized science intro courses for college freshmen at wvu.
I like to stay relaxed and have fun, telling a few jokes along the way. It's hard to learn things if you're not interested, and even more so if you're struggling with it! I push students a bit once I'm sure they understand something, and I always try to get them to be at their very best.

I have had an opportunity to teach in several different locations and age groups. I first taught in a low income preschool where I focused on making children excited to learn through presenting the material in an interesting manor. Next, I spent two semesters in college working as a general chemistry lab instructor. I used the scientific method to have the students reach conclusions on their own and to have to present and explain these conclusions to their peers.
