I am very flexible in my teaching style and have helped students who learn in very different ways. While I was working with the Reading by the River program I worked with four different students each of which learned in very different ways. From this I learned at a very early time in my life that it is crucial to cater to each individual students needs. I personally have a more analytical mind and analytical learning style however I have learned how to explain technical aspects of accounting in a variety of ways.
When I was in 7th and 8th grade I participated in America Reads where I helped teach elementary children how to read. My greatest enjoyment in teaching is when a student ‘discovers’ their ability to overcome their negative self belief. I guide students through their learning process with gentle encouragement and patience. In this process I use a variety of teaching methods, the selection of which depends upon the learning style of the student.
