My comments on tutoring Grammar : Grammar is difficult so it is left untried; however, it is key to accurate communication and communication is life. You must master grammar, or at the very least, come to an understanding of WHY it is important.

I hold a Bachelors in English with a minor in Philosophy and Religion. I have years of experience in business writing and in creative writing and poetry; some work in advertising and PR as well. I've never actually tutored someone, but I am very good at relating with younger kids and High Schoolers. I was in band from 8th grade to 12th grade where I participated in the Front Ensemble section with keyboards, vibraphones, marimbas, xylophones and various other instruments. I was in the Wind Ensemble which is the highest band class and my last year they introduced the Percussion ensemble where I was a soloist. I was also the section leader during my last year as well. Ever since I was little I loved helping other people with school. I spent my summer with my aunt teaching English to Spanish speaking natives and my cousins. Even though I can teach well with large groups I have always felt a child learns best one-on-one. It eliminates competition and helps the child develop confidence in himself and the desire to learn.
