My teaching style would best be described as finding the best methods to help students learn a subject and then using them. No two students are exactly alike so why teach them that way?

I have always been a tutor of sorts. I love to teach kids because of the sparkle they get in their eyes when they finally understand what they are being taught. Each child have a different learning style so I try to work with them to see what works for them. I have worked with kids who have ADD and the gifted. The 2009-2010 school year will be my third year as a substitute teacher. I have worked with all levels of students, from special needs elementary to AP high school courses, and in both urban and suburban districts. I had some training as an educator in college but have lots of real world experience as well. I have a deep understanding of research strategies and love all of the social sciences. I just graduated from Siena Heights University in December of 2010. I majored in social studies education and minored in math education. I took education classes and acquired over 250 hours of field experiece through out my time at Siena. I did my student teaching at St. John's Academy in the falls of 2010. I played baseball at Siena Heights University as well.
