I started tutoring in 7th grade back in 1976. I have been tutoring my own kids for over 14 years. I have been a Scout leader for over 9 years. I worked with boys ages 5 to 18 years of age. I have brought 2 learning disabled teens into my home to help them graduate High School. Both have gone on to be Certified Welders. I have presided over the Parental Acceptance Committee for both Fremont and all five of WSOS HeadStart Counties and all the centers in the School Districts of those counties. I am working on my Associate in Electronics and Computer Technology. I am also working on 17 IT Certificates and 9 Windows Certificates. After I get my ECT Associate I will start working on my BS in Electrical Engineering.
I have always been a tutor of sorts. I love to teach kids because of the sparkle they get in their eyes when they finally understand what they are being taught. Each child have a different learning style so I try to work with them to see what works for them. I have worked with kids who have ADD and the gifted. The greatest thing I can teach is that we can teach to create intelligence, but wisdom comes from using all that you know.
